The Fundación Vida Silvestre Mediterránea (FVSM) was created in 2002 to represent the Black Vulture Conservation Foundation (BVCF) in Spain. It responded to the need to have a local entity for administrative management in both economic and technical matters, in addition to the management of human resources.
The name of the FVSM aims to include a broader scope of action in biodiversity conservation than the BVCF, focused on promoting projects around the recovery and maintenance of the black vulture and its habitat.
